Angela Holguin has extensive financial institution regulatory experience, serving for almost twenty years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. During her five years as a regional executive, she managed the safety and soundness functions for the purpose of strengthening and improving the condition of insured institutions and for minimizing individual and systemic risks to the deposit insurance funds. Ms. Holguin’s practical experience will help directors and managers better understand their fiduciary responsibilities, assess banking conditions and practices, and develop effective strategic responses.

Ms. Holguin is well equipped to guide boards and management teams through the bank examination, regulatory application, and enforcement action processes. She has taught numerous director training seminars, and made presentations for a number of regulatory and banking associations. She understands the complex regulatory structure and can help navigate through the framework of regulatory policies and practices, as well as federal and state law and regulations. Ms. Holguin can lead the resolution of wide ranging supervisory issues, drawing on her direct executive management experience with the most complex and problematic institutions.

Ms. Holguin earned a BBA in Finance in 1984, an Examiner Commission in 1987, and a diploma from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 1997. She is married and lives in Peachtree City, where she is active in her community and church.
